Hopefully some knowledge will go some ways to alleviating the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) I have sitting in my stomach right now. Let it be known that it’s not the distance that I’ve FUD on. I can do 50K on a single sitting, that’s for sure. The blackbox to me is the trail.
Let’s see what remains to be done for this week. I’ll basically be adopting a Work-Run-Work strategy (as opposed to Run-Walk-Run!) since workload will be tremendous these couple of weeks. On weekdays, I’ll sneak some 10Ks in from 6:30pm to 7:45pm, before returning to work. And if all goes according to plan this Thursday, a 25K in the trail beckons. Carbokids 1 and 2 have their respective school mooncake festival parties to attend on Friday and Saturday evenings, so somewhere in there I need to get my weekend long runs in. If I pull this week off, I know that dang confidence level of mine will go up several notches. So will Team KL’s total mileage too in the KL vs SG challenge.
Next week? Nah… I won’t look that far yet. I’ll tackle each day as it comes, just like every step in the MacRitchie Trails come Oct 9th.
