My Photography Bring-Alongs

Do you have a ready-to-go bag of gear (other than clothing) that you grab when you need to leave at a moment’s notice? I do and from what you can see above, it’s my 5D with the 24-105/4, a spare battery, charger and a ThinkTankPhoto Pocket Pixel full of CF cards, all stashed into the TTP Urban Disguise 30.

It gets a little trickier with my running gear. But needless to say I place lightweight and adaptability as priority. Apparels are very breathable lightweight running tops that double up as daily wear, 1 vest, 1 shorts and the SPIBelt.

I had a chance to put my packing skills to practice when we received a call that my Mom-in-Law had been admitted for a surgery back in Penang. All I took was 30 minutes to assemble everything which was great. I packed the K-Swiss Blade Light Run this time around as I’m expecting wet weather. I do hope to at least get a run in these 3 days. As I’m typing this entry on my iPhone from the Wi-Fi’d lobby of the Adventist Hospital, my MIL is still in the recovery room.
