We go about our daily lives at almost a breakneck pace. Often failing to see and appreciate the varied and often unique surroundings that we live in. Click on the image below to start the slideshow.
2. Protestant Cemetery Penang
I completed the processing of the photos and slideshow for this post the day after I returned from Penang for the Chinese New Year holidays but even though I don’t subscribe to many Asian taboos I held back its publication as some may dislike the morbid or “bad luck” nature, more so during an auspicious celebration. To me mortality is part of Life so I’ve no qualms of wandering into cemeteries to make some photos. Awareness of mortality keeps us humble and brings us back to the contemplative
I tread with respect and even in awe of the surroundings, and I belief if the heart has no malice or ill-will, you have nothing to fear. Looking at the inscriptions on the head stones I often wonder what lives those who passed on lived.
