Kasumigaura Marathon 2016

Perak

Teluk Batik, Lumut

Parking: Ample along the roadside.
Features: Surrounded by trees and shaded. Extremely challenging undulating road with an especially steep 100 m long section (30 degree gradient).
Surface: Tarred undulating and narrow road. Make sure you run facing the traffic direction.
Distance: 2 km from the left turn off the main road to Teluk Batik.
Best time to run: Mornings and evenings. The road has no lighting so make sure to finish before it gets dark.
Getting to Teluk Batik: Drive towards Telok Muroh from Lumut – turn right at the traffic lights. Then look for the Teluk Batik signboard.

Teluk Rubiah, Lumut (Road to Teluk Rubiah Resort and Golf Club)

Parking: Ample along the roadside
Features: Surrounded by trees along the road but not shaded. Challenging uphill road. Entrance to the resort is gated with a pole. Access to the road inside the resort may not be granted to runners.
Surface: Tarred undulating road with a long 1 km uphill section.
Distance: 2km from the start of the uphill section to the Teluk Rubiah Resort.
Best time to run: Mornings and evenings. Not recommended for a woman to run alone as there are foreign workers staying nearby.
Getting there: To find the place, drive towards Sitiawan and Manjung from Lumut. Look for signboards
showing directions to Teluk Rubiah.

Tmn. Sri Manjung, Lumut

Parking: Ample along the roadsides around the Taman and next to the three schools.
Features: Shaded by trees along the schools. Low vehicle traffic if using the innner taman roads.
Surface: Tarred roads and completely flat terrain.
Distance: 2.9km rectangular route around the Taman and schools.
Best time to run: After 6.00 pm.
Landmarks: Hospital Sri Manjung. Recommend to park on the side road next to the Sek. Men. Sri Manjung as it is shady.
